Pass Go: Linc is Proudly on the New Gloucester Monopoly Board

On Tuesday the 3rd of November, the secret was finally revealed, Linc is officially part of the brand-new MONOPOLY: Gloucester Edition! Not only did we have the absolute pleasure of hosting the official launch event at our new home at Patch in The Forum, but we have also secured a coveted Community Chest square on the board.

A Massive Thank You

Earlier this year, the public was invited to make suggestions for spaces on the board, and we want to say a huge, heartfelt thank you to everyone who voted for us back in March. Your support is what got us here, and it truly means the world to our team and the families we support.

In Wonderful Company

Being part of the board means shining a light on causes close to our hearts. We are in incredible company, sharing our Community Chest spaces with two other fantastic local charities: The Hollie Gazzard Trust and the James Hopkins Trust. Together, we represent the strong community spirit that makes Gloucester so unique.

Launch Day Fun and House Rules

The big reveal at 10:00 AM brought out all the excitement, complete with a giant board and a special visit from Mr. Monopoly himself!

Our Chief Executive Officer, Lou Neal, shares what this milestone means to us:

“Linc Charity has been supporting blood cancer patients and their families across Gloucestershire for almost 30 years. We are now based at The Forum in the heart of the city we love! To be selected both as the hosts of the official launch and as one of the three charities featuring on the board really means the world to us.”

True to form, Lou also used the opportunity to settle the ultimate Christmas game-night debate, reminding everyone that if you land on free parking, the fines definitely go straight in the middle of the board!

Why This Matters

For nearly three decades, Linc has been here for blood cancer patients and their families across Gloucestershire. Having our square on a board game that will sit in living rooms across the county is a wonderful way to keep our community connected, spark conversations, and celebrate the city we call home. Keep an eye on our social channels week, we might just have a Monopoly game to give away to one lucky winner!
