JOB SUMMARY:
We are looking for a Stock Room Volunteer to work in our Linc Charity Shop in Cheltenham, Winchcombe Street. In July 2024 we opened our new shop on Winchcombe Street after a record-breaking year of sales for our shop on Bath Road. We are expanding our volunteer team and so there couldn’t be a better time to join us!
Linc work tirelessly to support blood cancer patients and their families, receiving treatment across Gloucestershire Hospitals by providing emotional and financial support. We also fund clinical trial nurses who work with blood cancer patients who support them through trials that could benefit them further. This in turn provides learnings and information which change patient outcomes nationally and internationally in the future. For a small charity, Linc makes a huge impact!
One of the ways we raise money for the charity to provide its vital support, is through our charity shops. This role would be responsible for sorting donated stock; checking quality; hanging, steaming and tagging of items and general stock organisation.
What you will be doing:
- Sorting through bags of donations and uncovering hidden treasures
- Checking items to make sure they’re ready for their next home
- Steaming and freshening up clothes so they look their best
- Sizing, hanging, and organising stock so it’s easy to find
- Keeping the stock room tidy and running smoothly
